Do not harvest stalks the first year; harvest a only little in the second year.
Plant will die back in the fall. Remove yellowing leaves.
Will start to grow again in the spring.

I would love rhubarb to be a success in my garden. Alas, it must be grown as an annual here. I tried and got a few stalks but it was a lot of effort to grow from seed. Now I just buy frozen.
